Steph Curry Keeps Aggravating His Shin Injury And Calls It A ‘Magnet’

The reigning MVP is now the best player in the league as the first half of the season comes to a conclusion, averaging a league-high 29.3 points per game to go with his 5.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists. “I played with a guy like that”, said Walton, who had won the 2010 National Basketball Association title with Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors announced early in the fourth quarter that Curry would not return to the game, which by then was well in hand.

NOTES: The Warriors made 15 or more 3-pointers for the 13th time this season.

Steve Kerr was expected to travel after the game to join the Warriors in Los Angeles before going along with the team for their next game at Portland, according to Walton.

During his post-game comments, Curry acknowledged that he will need to continue playing through the pain for the time being because doctors advised him that his leg would take “four weeks” to heal fully. That allowed them to somewhat stay within striking distance, as the Warriors only outscored the Lakers by three in the second quarter.

The Lakers would cut the deficit to 66-55 with 8:04 remaining in the third quarter, but that was as close as they’d get for the rest of the game.

The Lakers were down by two before the game started.

Bryant sat out his third straight game with a sore right shoulder for the Lakers, whose three-game winning streak ended. Both D’Angelo Russell and Kobe Bryant sat out and L.A. looked completely outmatched from a talent standpoint through most of the game.

The real question now is when are we going to get the remixed version of this commercial with Steph and his daughter Riley? Metta World Peace got a technical foul in the third quarter after a brief exchange with Green. Jordan Clarkson led the Lakers with 23 points but did so on 20 shots. Lou Williams and Ryan Kelly had 10 points and Larry Nance Jr. added nine.

He drained a 3-pointer in the opening minute on his first shot and scored 14 points in all in the first half as Golden State took a 62-54 lead at the break. The Warriors went on 10-0 run in just over two minutes, and then continued to pour it on to ultimately lead 95-77 entering the fourth.

“I thought we competed 30 out of the 48 minutes”.

Midway through the third quarter of Tuesday’s game, Curry’s shin made contact with Roy Hibbert’s leg when the Warriors guard attempted a layup over the Lakers center. “We could have done a better job of that”, Scott said. No other team has reached that mark more than six times….

“It’s nice having options”, Warriors interim coach Luke Walton said with a laugh, recalling how his team finished its last game, an overtime win over Denver, with just seven available players.
