The body of a man has been found in a garden in a suburb of Limerick, gardai said.

Local people said the body had been found under bags of turf and plastic sheeting in the back garden of the house.

A post mortem on Mr Rejmer’s body was carried out yesterday by State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy.

Dtc Sgt Arthur Ryan gave evidence of arresting Ms Matracka on Sunday morning at Henry Street Garda station in Limerick where he formally charged her with Mr Rejmer’s murder.

He had been living in Limerick for a number of years, and lived and worked close to where the discovery was made.

Mr Rejmer was a member of Dooneen Athletic Club and was highly recognisable as he always wore a bandana while running.

Judge Larkin granted the application and ordered that she appear before the court via video link from Limerick Prison.

Henry Street Garda Station Superintendent Derek Smart appealed to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Briarfield area since Wednesday, December 30, and noticed any unusual or suspicious activity to contact them.
