The Redskins are at home where they have won six of eight games.

These two teams have taken very different trajectories this season.

Obviously, not everyone in the DMV is a Redskins fan.

The Seattle-Minnesota result will determine the destination for the Green Bay-Washington victor for the next round of the NFC playoffs.

The Redskins traveled to Dallas to take on the Cowboys last weekend. It is officially do or die time for the Packers, and if they wish to win their fifth Lombardi trophy, they will need to start clicking. The 2015 Packers finished 4-6 after a 6-0 start to fall to a wild card for the first time since 2010, but that season, they won the Super Bowl.

The Green Bay Packers are under scrutiny after their last loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

The only way to beat a team with a suspect defense is to keep putting the pressure on them.

Green Bay (10-6) faces the favored Redskins (9-7) in Washington at 3:40 p.m. Sunday in a NFC Wild Card Playoff game.

We are hoping for a balance that gives the Packers the best chance to win. In two games without Bakhtiari at the most important position on the offensive line, the Packers have allowed 14 sacks. Second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has improved, but the key to the Vikings’ success is star running back Adrian Peterson, who was removed from the team for most of last season while facing child abuse charges. Green Bay, which plays Sunday against Washington, has 31. Quarterback Kirk Cousins is completing just under 70 percent of his passes.

It’s clear the Packers realize there’s not much more they can do schematically to turn around their struggling offensive attack.

The Packers are going to have their hands full with Washington’s offense this weekend if Washington figures out how to run the ball effectively. Morris did not reach the 100-yard mark in a game again until Week 17. RB Pierre Thomas has also been a welcome addition to the squad and has provided depth and experience in the absence of rookie Matt Jones.

A recent article from CBS Sports implies that Aaron Rodgers is underperforming as of late. And without Nelson to throw long to, it’s made for a disappointing season. Washington is a 1-point home favorite at about half of the books, with the others at pick’em. Coach Mike McCarthy’s team is ranked 15th in total defense and 23rd in total offense after the regular season. The Redskins must play physical and try to create turnovers against Rodgers, who has thrown an interception in three straight games. The offense could be bolstered by the return of running back Marshawn Lynch.

The Redskins really want and need this victory. Rodgers has been in the spotlight before and has shown an ability to shine.
