Threes aplenty for Warriors in a win
The Golden State Warriors rank 10th in offensive rebounding, while the Portland Trail Blazers rank ninth in defensive rebounding.

The Warriors “are on pace to have the best record ever”, Portland coach Terry Stotts said.
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combined for 62 points as the Golden State Warriors trounced the Portland Trail Blazers 128-108 at the Moda Centre. Klay Thompson led the game in scoring with 36 points on 12-for-22 shooting.
As happens on the Warriors’ best nights, their inside and outside games fed off each other.
After Cousins went to the bench with four personal fouls 2:16 into the third quarter, the Warriors reeled off a 9-2 run in the next 98 seconds to go ahead 74-64.
The Warriors won Friday night, doing so exactly as they might have drawn it up. They shot 52.7 percent from the field despite a 2-of-10 outing for Harrison Barnes and made 56.3 percent (18-of-32) of their long-range attempts with 36 assists on 46 field goals. “He just got kicked in that same spot again and it kind of stunned him a little bit”, Warriors interim head coach Luke Walton said, according to Sportsoutwest.com. The Grizzlies, though, closed the game on a 17-8 run. They have things rolling even more smoothly this time around.
“Yeah, it was frustrating, but that’s hoops”, Thompson said of that game, in a Q&A with the Washington Post’s Tim Bontemps. It makes sense, given Curry’s second quarter outburst, that the rest of the Warriors saw easier opportunities to start the third quarter.
Up Jumps Da Boogie: This may be a bit of a retread from their previous game against the Warriors, but the Kings still have yet to see a game this year where DeMarcus Cousins played any sort of meaningful minutes against the Warriors. “He has played well, his shot looks good”.
Last season’s Rush couldn’t hit a shot but remained a positive force in other ways. Rudy Gay is still a swiss-army knife of offense at small forward and Darren Collison is a unique player to feature right next to Rondo.
However, Curry aggravated the injury twice and left the games against Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers on January 2nd and 5th respectively. In the wake of losing the sharpshooter, Quincy has filled in admirably, providing toughness and hustle down low, all while averaging 10 points a game in his three starts, and hitting 12 of his 13 shots from the field. As well as the Warriors have played, they can’t seem to put significant distance in the standings between themselves and the Spurs, despite San Antonio regularly resting their top players. Reigning MVP Stephen Curry, who had 13 points in the first half, finished with 26 points and nine assists, and forward Draymond Green recorded his league-best eighth triple-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Ultimately, the fact that Curry isn’t too concerned about the injury shouldn’t worry the Warriors and their fan base.
