Google’s new Android watch app to lure iPhone users

According to a report from The Telegraph, a senior source in the industry has said that the tool will allow Apple customers to transfer existing data such as photos, contact lists and music to another phone should they want to stop using their iPhone.

A few minutes ago, January 11, 2016, Apple started seeding the first Beta build of the iOS 9.3 mobile OS for iPhone, iPad or iPod touch developers that are enrolled in the Apple Developer program.

The company offered details on its iOS 9.3 beta and the preview features are notable for education.

To disable automatic app updates on Android devices, open up the Play Store and tap on the Menu icon in the top-left corner next to Google Play. The app is presently the third Android app by the Cupertino giant, comes after Apple Music and a compatible app for Beats pill+ speaker. More information will also show up on your Apple Watch.

At this time it is not known when this iOS to Android tool will become available or if it will even be released at all.

If you own a smartphone, it’s probably either an iPhone running Apple’s operating system iOS, or a device from the likes of Samsung, Sony, LG and HTC, running Google’s Android operating system.

Unfortunately, all of Apple’s promotional material makes it seem as though home users won’t be able to take advantage of the iPad’s multi-user mode, but that may not be the case in the final version of the software. With watchOS 2.2, you can connect multiple Apple Watches to a single iPhone.

With this in mind I don’t think we will see a flood of customers abandoning Apple’s platforms because easy migration tools are available.

Building on its success with the Move to iOS Android app it launched last September, The Telegraph reports that Apple is doing similar for those wanting to leave iOS. Devices updated to iOS 9.3 cannot be restored to earlier versions of iOS. If you’re having trouble finding new features such as features you should check they are enabled in the Settings menu.
