EA Teases ‘NCAA Football’ Coming Back In 3 Second Video

Speculation started when EA posted a video on their Facebook page showing their love for college football. According to Good, the representative said the video was posted simply to acknowledge Monday’s title game between Clemson and Alabama. This obviously excited many fans of the NCAA Football games that EA Sports once released. Fans celebrated the win for players’ rights while also mourning the apparent end of college sports video games, at least ones that closely resemble the sport we love. “This is as profoundly disappointing to the people who make this game as I expect it will be for the millions who enjoy playing it each year”.

Sometimes Social Media posts made by games companies start debate on whether a much loved game is coming back.

Polygon contacted EA Sports directly to ask if the video meant that the game was being resurrected.

Highly doubtful. The caption, “Our heart still beats for the big game…”

The franchise has been in limbo since former players sued the NCAA for profiting off of their likenesses and names without properly compensating the players.

Then again, maybe EA Sports is just being less than forthcoming about any future plans it might have. Assuming EA Sports has been developing a college football game over the past few months to a year, we will see a release some time this summer.

While Madden has provided a decent substitute, it doesn’t completely fill the void left by NCAA Football’s departure.
