Classic Xbox Games That Deserve to Be on the Xbox One

That’s a pretty startling number considering Sony just revealed that the PlayStation 4 had sold nearly 36 million, but it’s worth noting that this number includes a very specific set of consoles. Meanwhile, Microsoft has chosen to keep the Xbox One sales figures to themselves, and it may be easy to figure out why.

Microsoft began rolling out the Windows 10 update to Xbox One consoles last November, so this estimate presumably does not account for sales of Xbox One consoles that have not been connected to the network since before that update’s debut. So chances are we’ll never see for sure whether the Xbox One has sold 18 million or more.

The 200 million figure counts the number of “active” devices. We’re also looking forward to the surprising Far Cry Primal (PS4, Xbox One, PC), which will recycle the acclaimed engine of Far Cry 4 but in a prehistoric settling.

Late previous year, Microsoft decided it would stop focusing so much on the sales numbers of its new console, to instead focus on different metrics, like Xbox Live subscriptions as a measure of its success.

Despite its disastrous start, the Xbox One hasn’t really put at foot wrong over the past year. According to a report by Huffington Post, many such incidents were reported just after the launch of PlayStation 4. Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD suggests that the consoles are running a five to seven year cycle which means we could be seeing the next gen in 2018 at the earliest. Microsoft was able to get fans excited about the future with titles like ReCore, Gears of War 4, Scalebound, and others.

There are also rumors that the bundle, which can be run through the Xbox backwards compatibility update, may even launch as soon as January 10 of this year. “Were we building a product for us, or were we building a product for the gamers?”

Last week, Xbox program management boss Mike Ybarra shared a video on Twitter where he tested out the returning feature.
