No jackpot victor Saturday; Powerball lotto hits staggering $1.3 billion
The record Powerball jackpot surged to $1.4 billion Monday as people across the country bought their tickets, officials confirmed. If Wednesday’s jackpot is won by a Pennsylvania player, it would become the state’s 20th multi-state jackpot win.

“As well as the jackpot, as with every draw, the Lotto Millionaire Raffle created yet another guaranteed millionaire”. The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday. The odds of any Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.
The jackpot has ballooned since its November 4 starting point of $40 million.
The Powerball jackpot has risen to a world-record $1.4 billion jackpot.
On Saturday night’s drawing, no one had a ticket with all the numbers for the Powerball drawing. If you’re eagerly waiting for the next set of numbers to come out on Wednesday night, below are some other Powerball numbers to keep in mind. There was a 77% chance of a victor last time (based on 440 million tickets sold), and given at least 50% more tickets are projected to be sold for the January 13th drawing, even with more than 650 million new tickets sold, there’s still a real chance of it carrying over yet again.
“We urge all our players to check their tickets and, of course, we have plenty of champagne on ice ready to welcome these winners into the National Lottery millionaires club”.
$100,000: What a store would receive if it sold the winning ticket.
The Powerball is now so big the billboards can’t handle it. Some billboards don’t say billion and they only go up to $999 million. Match all the “white” numbers and match the Powerball and you win the grand prize.
People are already buying their tickets for the next drawing because the jackpot is so big.

Pak-A-Sak, 1129 Johnson St, saw an increase in ticket sales last week and had an extra employee helping out. Powerball is sold in 47 states/jurisdictions, including D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. By making it harder to win a jackpot, the tougher odds made the ever-larger prizes inevitable.
