Villa ponder use of psychologists for underperforming players

“It’s more because I’m facing you every week but actually I knew Villa from inside for only 10 weeks now”.

“I’m not getting out of my responsibilities but I feel some things need to be explained at some point”.

It did not help the mood on Saturday that two unused substitutes, Brad Guzan and Joleon Lescott, were alleged to have sworn at fans who complained about their attitude after the pair were reportedly seen having a competition to see who could spit their chewing gum closest to the touchline.

Television cameras picked up the skipper saying “We’re trying” as frustrated fans demanded to know ‘where’s the passion?’. I don’t know the history (such as) when this player was signed.

The boss saіd he was not aware of the reported іssue wіth Lescott and Guzan but remіnded all players of theіr responsіbіlіtіes.

“I want to say thank you to the Villa fans for showing us so much respect by clapping us off the pitch”. Jack Grealish (tonsilitis) and Gabriel Agbonlahor (back) are doubts. Charles N’Zogbia and Libor Kozak are available but are not expected to feature.

Villa is 11 points from safety and will be looking to get back to winning ways when it welcomes Crystal Palace on Tuesday. He wants to try and bring in a striker at some stage during January but a sound defence and decent goalkeeper in Wayne Hennessey will ensure they remain competitive and I like their chances here at the price to boost an already impressive away record.

Aston Villa are now on a 19-game winless run in the Premier League (D5 L14); the joint-fourth longest run in Premier League history (alongside Nottingham Forest in 1998-99).

“The maіn thіng from the fans’ poіnt of vіew іs that they want to see the players goіng out there fіghtіng for the cause of the club and they have got every rіght to express theіr feelіngs”.

The goal shook a response from the League Two side and they piled pressure on the Premier League side, but failed to break them open before the interval.

“It will be a tough game but we can win this game!”

Villa have won just once in the Premier League all campaign, which is why they are [1.04] in the Relegation market, and the weekend’s 1-1 draw at lower league Wycombe in the FA Cup left you wondering which team was the more relieved to secure a replay. “We have got a set-up where the players can hurt teams away from home”.
