Jennifer Lawrence slammed for being rude to reporter at Golden Globes

The first win of the night Sunday was a slight surprise, with Kate Winslet winning best supporting actress for the Aaron Sorkin-penned, box-office dud “Steve Jobs”.

Feinberg explained that DiCaprio “has had the misfortune in the past of being great in years when other people were having their greatest year”. Appreciating the success of “The Martian”, Damon said, “I’ve made a lot of movies that people just didn’t go see”.

Mr Robot, about a computer programmer and vigilante hacker, took home the prize for best drama series.

Gervais, in his fourth time hosting, spared little time before laying into the HFPA and the awards’ network, NBC, which he noted had no nominations.

The “Trainwreck” star attended the Golden Globes after-parties Sunday night with new boyfriend Ben Hanisch in tow, she revealed Monday on Instagram.

Larson’s win was not exactly unexpected, but she did have some formidable opponents in the category.

In what is probably the year’s most competitive category, best actress in a drama, Brie Larson won out over Cate Blanchett (“Carol”) and Saoirse Ronan (“Brooklyn) for her affecting performance as a woman in captivity in “Room”.
