Although Samsung still has to provide confirmed details about its plans for this year, hardcore fans of the South Korea-based tech giant’s lineups, particularly its smartphones, are already expecting the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S7.

Recent rumours also indicate that the Galaxy S7 will sport a 5.1-inch Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels.

Good news for those who like to fill their phones to the brim – the S7 will have expandable storage via a MicroSD card slot, a feature sadly missing from the S6 and many other smartphones.

It is notable that the Galaxy S7 will not feature a protruding camera like the Galaxy S6. Until then, keep checking with us for updates. Samsung is dropping megapixels, but the camera is rumored to have a f/1.7 aperture, an important upgrade compared to the previous Galaxy S generation. Meaning the camera will be faster, take better images, especially in low light, and be improved across the board. Confirming everything mentioned above and more.

Overall, the Galaxy S7 looks like a pretty nice upgrade over last year’s model.

All the variants of the Samsung Galaxy S7 are expected to come in 32GB and 64GB versions, and the latest leaks indicate the edged variant might come out with a larger battery, at as much as 3600mAh. It’s also worth noting that the 5.1-inch variant is only one of an expected plethora of Galaxy S7 devices. We won’t know until Samsung confirms all the details late next month just ahead of the annual Mobile World Congress trade-show in Spain. The sighting matches with numerous previously leaked specs for the device.
