Holm to defend UFC belt before Rousey rematch
“We don’t have a fight for Holly yet”.

UFC star Ronda Rousey has signed on to host NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on January 23 in NY. For the show’s January 16 return, “SNL” revealed “Girls” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” star Adam Driver will host and country musician Chris Stapleton will feature as musical guest. Still considered the top bantamweight female MMA fighter in the world by UFC, her knockout at the hands (foot?) of Holly Holm in November made worldwide headlines and may actually have increased her fame. Rousey, 28, of Venice, Calif., has largely been out of the public eye since losing the title to Holm at UFC 193 via head-kick TKO. Tate has won her last four fights and would be a great name to add to Holm’s combat sports resume.
Now it appears she will get her wish. Winning her title back is her top priority, but there’s always a chance – due to injury or other factors – that Holm may not be ready to fight.
It was one of the biggest upsets in the history of the UFC, with underdog Holm sensationally knocking Rousey out.
As far as Rousey goes, White promises that she is going to return to fight again but there’s no exact date for her next bout. She is set to star in the remake of the cult classic “Roadhouse” with filming expected to begin sometime in the first half of the year.
Rousey agreeing to host “Saturday Night Live 2016” is said to be a good move for the UFC fighter, according to Forbes.
‘Ronda has some well-deserved time off but she will fight this year’. But White has everyone reason to be confident in his new champion. The UFC hasn’t said who the vaunted striker will fight next.

Holm – who is undefeated in her mixed martial arts (MMA) career – (10-0, 3-0 UFC) did acknowledge the announcement, but refused to divulge any details regarding it.
