Rovio has Just Announced raging Birds 2

That having been said, we’re slightly intrigued to see what Rovio will do for raging Birds 2. Announced with the tagline “bigger, badder, birdier”, raging Birds 2 is nearly a complete mystery at this point. Considering that Rovio has dared to call it a proper sequel, this won’t be just another release of the game but would definitely bring in some new gaming styles and introduce different tactics that will be used by super annoyed birds to kill the animals. With a new iteration on the horizon, the raging Birds phenomenon will likely expand even further, drawing more fans and generating more impressive downloads.

Raging Birds 2 will be released on July 30 and it will be the first full sequel to the arcade game.

The original mad Birds launched in 2009, and its simple, easy-to-learn gameplay was an instant hit.

There are not many details surrounding mad Birds 2, but one has to wonder if slapping a “2” at the end of the title does justice to the scope of mad Birds games that have been released since the first title.

By comparison, fellow Finnish firm Supercell, which publishes the Clash of Clans, Hay Day and Boom Beach games, reported annual revenues of €1.55bn in 2014 – almost 10 times Rovio’s.

In October 2014, Rovio announced plans to lay off 16% of its staff, and admitted that “we have been building our team on assumptions of faster growth than have materialised”. If it’s successful, raging Birds 2 could also be a viable lead-in to the company’s computer-animated raging Birds action-comedy starring Jason Sudeikis and Peter Dinklage, which is set for a global premiere in May 2016. In an effort to build out its business, Rovio has expanded into several other areas, including plush toys, theme parks, and even a full-length feature film.
