With both sides making several changes for their Cup draw, Tottenham and Leicester will be back to full strength on Wednesday night as they attempt to boost their Champions League qualification hopes.

Manager Claudio Ranieri has done wonders with Leicester this season, but he’s still a bit wary of the Spurs going into today’s big FA Cup tie. Pochettino had to turn to his bench and bring in Alli and Kane to rescue the game and they duly oblidged.

Leicester are determined to keep hold of a player judged by many to be a future England global, but they may need to offer a contract 10-times Chilwell’s current terms. With only four points separating the two teams, this match could prove to be one that people look back on as the decider in where they finish.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has insisted that he sees his long-term future with his boyhood club despite speculation that his stunning rise to prominence had made him a transfer target for Real Madrid. This is a team with quality throughout the side and have been playing excellent football all year especially at home.

“But it’s a good opportunity, maybe for some players who can not play consistently play in the Premier League, to show their quality and fight for their place in the team”. Well here Kane – on as a substitute with his team facing what would have been a rather wretched defeat – stepped up with only three minutes of the game remaining to score in similar fashion. “I think we can only get better”. I am very surprised with how well he played, but that is what I wanted’.

Asked if his side were lucky to get a replay, Pochettino replied: “Lucky?”

“We always say it – the strength of the squad and the character of the group is probably our biggest strength”.

This is the one match in the third round of FA Cup action that pits two teams in the top half of the Premier League table against one another, and it even goes so far as to grace us with a top four battle.

Eriksen threatened another when his dipping free kick was once again unconvincingly swatted away by Schmeichel, but it was Leicester who got the game’s second goal against the run of play moments later.

“That’s what I’m looking to do and I’ll keep on working hard”. For a while they just didn’t see enough of the ball.
