Some Man Utd games have bored me too, says van Gaal

Manchester United have been under scrutiny for narrowly escaping third-tier Sheffield 1-0 on January 7, according to ESPN, leading Manager Louis van Gaal to call his side “Boring” according to BBC Sport.

The youngster will now be looking for some game time before the end of the season but Van Gaal added that he still needs time to get match fit.

In the absence of any meaningful action during the match, which finished 1-0 to the Premier League side, the focus after the game was on United’s dire form and the future of their manger.

Van Gaal has also come under fire for not getting off of his seat and encouraging players from the touchline, but the manager said he believed communication through the week was more effective. “I hope they don’t win against us”.

United have scored the lowest number of goals among the top six sides in the Premier League standings – 24 in 20 games – but do have the second best defensive record after Tottenham with only 17 league goals conceded.

Van Gaal, who confirmed he would be without German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger for the trip to third-bottom Newcastle, was also unhappy when a reporter asked if he was overly focused on the opposition rather than his own team. “Against Chelsea I have enjoyed it but the result was 0-0 and we could have lost”, Van Gaal told reporters.

“I know I should be sating Manchester United but that’s largely due to their name but it’s hard to back them with much conviction the way they’re playing right now, the players are really flat”, Gray has written on Paddypower.com. At this moment we have a lack of creativity and you can see that, but they have played well in the past, so they can do it. Also the players were frustrated and the fans are frustrated.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that some of his team’s performances this season have left him “bored”.

Man United still have plenty of players who can win a game with a show of quality, but under Van Gaal they have struggled to do that.
