Biden praises Sanders on income inequality

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is ripping into rival Bernie Sanders, saying the Vermont senator offers unrealistic policies and overstates his anti-establishment credentials.

Mr. Biden did say Mrs. Clinton has come forward with some “really thoughtful approaches” to deal with the issue. Biden described Bernie Sanders on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, as more authentic on economic inequality than Hillary Clinton and defended Sanders’ record on gun control during an interview with CNN.

He said Sanders had credibility on the issue, but that for Clinton, the issue was relatively new.

Bernie Sanders said he’d noticed Hillary Clinton’s campaign stepping up its attacks on him. That’s a distant cry from the start of the race, which saw Clinton an overwhelming favorite among Democrats.

The Iowa caucuses are on February 1, and a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showed Clinton and Sanders in a statistical tie, since her lead of 3 percentage points was within the margin of error. “And, I think a candidate who was originally thought to be the anointed candidate, to be the inevitable candidate, is now locked in a very hard race here in Iowa and in New Hampshire”. Fifty-one percent of Democrats said they are absolutely sure they will vote for their favored candidate, while 40 percent of Republicans said the same. He’s led recent polling there by double digits, threatening to deliver a blow to Clinton’s campaign in the first two contests. “People who are schizophrenic and have mental illnesses shouldn’t own guns”.

Sanders has expressed his support for Obama’s use of executive actions to curb gun violence and has said he would revisit his position on the liability issue. “And he has said that”. Earlier this month he said he regrets his decision to stay out “every day”, even though it remains the right decision for his family in the wake of the death of his son and presumed political heir, Beau.

“I have no dislike for her or anything like that”, said Floyd Bumper, 32, of Waterloo.

MoveOn pledged to mobilize millions of members in support of Sanders, focusing initially on turning out its 43,000 members in Iowa and 30,000 in New Hampshire.

That’s not all. The belief that helping Clinton win the nomination was the only realistic possibility Democratic voters had of defeating Donald Trump in the general elections seems to be a thing of the past.

Scarborough added that it would be embarrassing for Clinton to lose to an underdog candidate like Sanders, and that she “can’t afford to lose Iowa and New Hampshire back-to-back”. Responses show 55% of women rated Clinton above Trump on respect towards women while men split nearly evenly on their choice. “But I’m able to do that as vice president”.

Is Joe Biden an undeclared Bernie Sanders supporter?
