Olivier Giroud wants to link up with Karim Benzema
‘I am going to focus on my preparation.

The 28-year-old France worldwide has been Arsene Wenger’s preferred option up front for the majority of his three-year spell with the club, despite the presence of Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck in the squad.
Giroud, now Arsenal’s first-choice forward, said he would welcome the arrival of a new leading striker.
However, his form fluctuated at times last season and he was roundly criticised for his performance during Arsenal’s costly Champions League defeat to Monaco, while Walcott was preferred up front for the FA Cup final against Aston Villa.
Speaking after Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Everton in Singapore, in which he scored the opening goal, Walcott said: “My agent has talked to the club”.
“But it is hard to tell how good our opponents are, so it’s important to be as good as we can be, then we have a chance”.
“If there will be another striker, it will be nice for all the team because the competitivity [sic] is good for everyone”.
Speculation has mounted that his global colleague Karim Benzema – who starts ahead of him for Les Bleus – could join the club, and Giroud insists that competition is healthy.
He said: “We don’t rule out (more signings), but we do not guarantee we’d sign more. We are not far away”.
“We’ll just play the waiting game and see what happens but I’m sure it won’t be long”.
“It depends on what is on the market now, and it’s not easy because many clubs are out there to buy and the number of players who can strengthen teams is very (small)”.

“””(Former Arsenal players) Marc Overmars and Dennis Bergkamp work there, that’s why we have a great relationship with them, and hopefully he (Sanogo) can have a great season”. It is one of the best groups I have been involved with.
