CBS’ ‘Mike & Molly’ will end after current season

Not a lot of shows get demoted and then get renewed for more seasons, but it would have been a reasonable way to keep it on the air if money issues were part of the reasoning behind canceling the sitcom.

While this is hardly news that anyone should be particularly shocked to hear, that does not make it any less sad: “Mike & Molly” is going to be ending on CBS after its sixth season. “I went to see [Penn] last night soon after I arrived, and I’m planning to interview him about his experience, and look forward to that as soon as all the things can be worked out”. “He did ask me to save whatever conversations we had for the interview … so hopefully that will make the interview interesting”, Rose said, adding, “I don’t think he’ll be doing any other interviews until we sit down”. “I know what these episodes are that they’re done wrapping it up”, Abrams explained. And one of its stars, Ted Danson (who moved over when CBS cancelled the original CSI) on Monday was cast in a new NBC comedy. Comic Jim Carrey is an executive producer of the series, which has an ensemble cast that includes Alfred Molina, Robert Forster and Al Madrigal.

The show’s creators-Michelle and Robert King-have already said this will be their seventh and final season on the Sunday night drama about a high-powered lawyer and her philandering politician husband.

“Reality often defines a network”, he says, referring to “Survivor” and “Amazing Race”. Everyone worked so hard on this show. The actor will discuss his controversial meeting and interview with Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. He mentions Craig Turk, a fellow EP of “The Good Wife”, as someone who could step in as showrunner. The complex series starring Julianna Margulies is one of the most critically well-regarded series on network television, and it has been on the air since 2009.

“Person of Interest” and “The Good Wife” have question marks looming: Glenn Geller, the new president of CBS Entertainment, didn’t say anything likely to reassure fans of “Person of Interest”. The show has a deep bench of writers, and no decision has been made about its future, he said.
