Klay Thompson poured in two key hoops to ignite a third-quarter surge on Monday to help the Golden State Warriors outlast the Charlotte Hornets 111-101.

Strong Start: The Lakers finally started a game strong against the Phoenix Suns and they ended up leading by 38 points at one juncture of the game.

And with other teams putting their best defender on Curry while trying to play their best big man against Green, Thompson will continue to score at will against any player trying to stay with him, proving time and time again that you just can’t forget about Klay.

As Steph deals with the pain, it’s a relief to know that the damage won’t be long-term.

According to Simmons, Curry told reporters after Tuesday’s win that the leg injury will take four weeks to completely heal but that he’s “not sitting out four weeks”. Most of the time, he was still able to play at a level that made us a better team.

“It’s always fun to come down here and play before friends and family”, said Thompson, who grew up and was a high school basketball standout in nearby Orange County.

After the game Curry admitted that it could be a month before he’s back to 100 percent. “I asked the trainers, and they said he’s good, so we put him back out”.

With the Warriors real head coach, Steve Kerr, returning-no shade to Luke Walton, who’s done an outstanding job-it’ll be interesting to see how Curry’s injury is handled. Stephen Curry left the game early shortly after coming up gimpy after tweaking his leg, ending the night with 17 points with four makes from deep. Larry Nance Jr. continued his recent strong play with nine points and seven rebounds, but the scoreboard dictated that the 23-year-old rookie only play 20 minutes and 28 seconds. “I wasn’t going to put him back out there at first, but he was pretty adamant about it”. Stephen Curry’s left shin scare was just that, Harrison Barnes has returned with a flourish, Klay Thompson is on a very nice roll of games, Draymond Green is still triple-doubling, and even Marreese Speights is starting to show flashes of Mo Buckets form.

J.R. Smith made a season-high eight three-pointers, accounting for all of his 24 points in front of a crowd of 20,500 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Pau Gasol scored 26 points with 11 rebounds, and Taj Gibson added 11 points and 14 boards as the Bulls led the entire way. The third quarter, we started missing shots and we were missing and forgetting that we had to get back and guard these guys.

– The Warriors were missing Leandro Barbosa (sprained left shoulder) and James Michael McAdoo (sprained left toe). The third-year player out of North Carolina is an excellent three-point shooter and he attacks the rim with ferocity. Walton said it’s part of the team’s goal to minimize travel weariness….
