The script for this “unauthorized” production about Guzman, 58, is the work of former Colombian drug trafficker Andres Lopez Lopez, the network said in a press release.

Following the recapture late last week, it emerged yesterday that the Hollywood actor Sean Penn had met with El Chapo in the Mexican jungle in October, drinking tequila with the man believed to be responsible for the deaths of some 34,000 people.
Inside was a king-size double bed, clothes from fashionable stores, bread and cookie wrappers as well as testosterone syringes, antibiotics and cough syrup.
According to the Los Angeles Times, several US federal jurisdictions are fighting to have El Chapo extradited to them, including the Southern District of California based in Los Angeles, the Northern District of IL out of Chicago, the Southern District of New York in New York City, and the Southern District of Florida in Miami.
It was fitted with a motorbike on rails and led to the ranch house from which he and his men escaped.
But despite successfully fleeing the hideaway, the XX-year-old was eventually caught by Mexican police after exiting the tunnel through a manhole, stealing two cars and being intercepted on the highway.

The ever elusive Guzman reportedly got away from the home with the help of an accomplice and escaped through a sewer line before he was later captured.
