Remi Garde looks to Villa talks to help club make progress

Micah Richards has been branded “brave” to stand up to a confrontation with frustrated Aston Villa supporters after the 1-1 FA Cup draw at Wycombe.

Fox will be accompanied by the sporting director, Hendrik Almstadt, on the back of the 1-1 draw against Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday, when their failure to beat a League Two side culminated in angry scenes involving the away supporters.

Asked about bringing in a psychologist, Garde replied: “Not for the moment, but I could – I don’t know”. The planned protest outside the North Stand before kick-off on Tuesday seems to be gathering more support and, as a season ticket holder in that stand, I’m intrigued to see how it plays out. “They travel a long way and we have to accept this criticism”, Garde told reporters afterwards.

Vіdeos of the manager and players beіng abused after the game were posted on socіal medіa whіle substіtutes Brad Guzan and Joleon Lescott were also accused of playіng a game іnvolvіng chewіng gum durіng the match.

“Everybody has to keep calm, face their responsibilities, look in the mirror and ask themselves what they can do to get out of this hard situation”.

It is important that the Aston Villa voice is not only mine.

Third, slash ticket prices for 2016-17 – partly as an apology for this season’s woeful performances and partly to make sure Villa are not playing in a half-empty stadium every other week.

“Yes. It is very frustrating but I came into a situation that I knew could be uncomfortable to me or for signing players”, he added.

Villa had controlled the first half, taking the lead through Micah Richards’s simple finish, but their confidence visibly drained when Jacobson equalised from the spot.

He has lost five and drawn four of his nine games since replacing Tim Sherwood as manager in November with Villa now 11 points from Barclays Premier League safety.

And Wycombe only need to use the likes of Bradford, Sheffield United and Leyton Orient as inspiration after Villa’s recent struggles against lower league opposition.

“I’m feeling good and I think we’re a good group and the staff are looking after us”, Ward said.

‘I am trying to stay strong.

“I’ve never used that in my teams, and that’s it. But I’m very open-minded and if the solution could be from there, then I could do that”.

Villa boss Garde has sent a transatlantic warning to Lerner that the squad he splashed £55m on in the summer needs major surgery.

Garde is without Carlos Sanchez and Alan Hutton (both hamstring) and Gabby Agbonlahor (back) while Adama Traore is out for up to 10 weeks with a broken foot.
