Pakistan arrests militant group members after Indian air base attack

Law enforcement agencies have also picked up “some suspects” linked to Pathankot airbase attack from Bahwalapur district, the hometown of Maulana Masood Azhar, chief of banned terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

As per TV reports, Masood has been arrested by Pakistani authorities for questioning in connection with the Pathankot terror attack case.

Indian investigators have said that phone intercepts suggest that the gunmen came from Pakistan.

Secretary of State John Kerry spoke to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif last week about the need for continuing dialogue in general terms, according to the State Department spokesperson. Security forces killed all six attackers who were said to have sneaked into Punjab from Pakistan.
