This was the actor’s first time receiving an award since the release of Rocky in 1976.

Directed by Ryan Coogler (“Fruitvale Station”), “Creed” stars Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, the character from the first “Rocky” film who would transform from Rocky’s most notorious foe to one of his closest friends.
Jordan will descend on London’s Leicester Square for the European premiere of CREED on Tuesday night.
“But that’s the magic of what he pulled off. I’m just an old dog learning new tricks”.
Sly remembered to thank his wife, his children, his agents, and, of course, his “imaginary friend Rocky Balboa” for being the best friend he ever had.
As Stallone walked to the stage to accept his award, he received a standing ovation from the crowd, including an enthusiastic response from Creed’s star Michael B. Jordan. I didn’t expect to be there. “I owe them everything”.
As good as Michael B. Jordan is in the film, it’s Sylvester Stallone that really impresses here. “Just the mere fact that these incredible people were applauding, it makes me realize that in life, it is really never over until it’s over”. So I have to get a TiVo. “I think there’s a lot of us out there still in the game”. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa.
As Rocky echoes in the film, “time is undefeated” and the passage of time we’ve spent with Rocky Balboa is something very special.

The Oscar-winning actor, who played an astronaut stranded on Mars in the blockbuster film, bested Christian Bale and Steve Carell from “The Big Short”, Al Pacino for “Danny Collins” and Mark Ruffalo for “Infinitely Polar Bear”. “So it’s very exciting”. But I don’t know how that translates”-he let out a laugh-“to running the world”.
