Hillary Clinton Calls out Bernie Sanders on Gun Reform
The pair of Clinton aides weren’t subtle in suggesting that the reason Sanders has yet to unveil a proposal is because he doesn’t want to talk about the tax increases needed to fund it. “One can only draw the conclusion that the Sanders campaign does not want to outline what is going to amount to a massive across-the-board tax hike on working families”, Sullivan said.

Clinton has reiterated her support for the Buffett rule, named after billionaire investor and Clinton endorser Warren Buffett, which would institute a minimum tax rate of 30 per cent on those earning more than $1 million per year.
Whether too strict or too lax, President Obama’s policy with the unauthorized immigrant children who have come in since 2014 is generally unpopular, so pushing towards an alternative might be a smart campaign move on Clinton’s part. “It’s hard for me to get in anybody else’s mind as to why they would not”.
Clinton’s attacks on a Democratic party rival over universal health care marks a very public flip flop by her and her campaign.
“I don’t have a date for that”, he said earlier this week. “But there’s also a broader range of issues that I have a long record addressing”.
The tone of the campaign was made more stark on Tuesday when Bill and Hillary Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton, hit the campaign trail and knocked Sanders’ position on health care.
“I have been fairly consistent my entire political life”, Sanders said in an interview on MSNBC last week. In Hillary Clinton’s case, damaging investigations are occurring in the middle of her campaign.
Holder cites Clinton’s plan to “address police brutality” and “fight for commonsense reforms to our gun laws” in his statement, arguing that Clinton can be counted on because she “has spent her life taking on the toughest fights”.
Bernie Sanders casts himself as the voice of anti-establishment politics, fueling his insurgent rise in the Democratic primaries as a principled fighter unwilling to compromise for political gain. But among younger voters, Sanders beat out Clinton, garnering respondents’ support in that age group 2-to-1.
“Hillary Clinton once said it “undermined core Democratic values” and gives “aid and comfort” to the special interests and “their allies in the Republican Party” for Democrats to attack each other’s health care plans”.
“It is time for the United States to join the rest of the industrialized world and provide health care as a right to every man, woman and child”, Jones said in response. She has gone on the offensive against Sanders, and started to use her husband Bill on the campaign trail to try and gin up some excitement for her candidacy.
Most journalists concluded that Sanders wasn’t serious after the first Democratic debate, when he took a key issue off the table by saying he was “sick” of hearing about her damn emails. “It is important to stand your ground, but it is important to find common ground”, Clinton said, echoing a popular campaign-trail riff about bipartisanship.

At least one senator, Michigan Democrat Debbie Stabenow, has asked Warren to endorse Clinton, according to other Democrats. ‘You’ve got a shiny new object, and you’ve got Hillary Clinton.
