Sunderland: Sam wants to move on after fixture row

Sunderland moved to within one point of the safety mark after a 4-2 victory at the Liberty Stadium, as they registered a second successive Premier League victory over one of their relegation rivals.

N’Doye has only played 741 minutes in the Turkish Süper Lig for Tranzonspor, not scoring but making two assists.

Since joining Trabzonspor from Hull City during the close season, N’Doye has failed to net in 12 appearances for the club.

Sunderland are closing in on the signing of striker Dame N’Doye from Trabzonspor, manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed.

The Black Cats boss blasted both the FA and the Premier League for their fixture scheduling last week and fielded a weakened side for the cup clash at Arsenal after the league clash with Swansea was put back a day.

“I hope he can emulate that for us or maybe do even better”.

We broke the news first in this country on Friday, which you can read here.

He will hopefully get through all the tests that we participate in and come out the other end with a clean bill of health and get him signed up and raring to go.

Sunderland fans… What do you make of Kone?

However, the 28-year-old clearly impressed his manager last weekend as Allardyce has told him all is forgiven and forgotten.

But certainly what he experienced in the Premier League past year means he can hit the ground running.

“They were players bought for a lot of money, who haven’t played as much as they want and my demand is, and also for those playing on a regular basis, that they all have to get better”.

“Let’s hope he can achieve the improvement that we’re looking for in terms of converting more chances and scoring more goals”.

It is unlikely Lens will get his place in the first team back straight away but he is likely to be in tonight’s squad for Sunderland’s must-win clash with fellow strugglers Swansea City.
