Wednesday night kicked off the People’s Choice Awards show, which CBS broadcasted live at 9 p.m. EST. Awards are great, but what really makes me happy is making other people happy and tonight I want to make you happy so I brought a shirtless picture of Chris Hemsworth to share. Half of Rizzoli & Isles won “Favorite Cable TV Actress”, though we’re not sure which half, beating out basically everyone on Pretty Little Liars, and also Hilary Duff for some reason.

Britney then took the time to thank her fans for awarding her the PCA for Favorite Social Media Celebrity, marking her 12th nomination at the awards show, adding that her newest hardware was “dedicated to [her] fans”, who she described as “the Britney Army”. Like I said, it’s not the Oscars. Lynch announced that there was going to be a new award for an actor who never won a PCA, but deserved to, and it went to Miss Colombia.
Vin Diesel’s action blockbuster “Furious 7” has taken home two top honors, including the favorite movie, and favorite action movie. Jason DeRulo performs at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles. The action star even began to sing the film’s breakout song “See You Again” for his fallen friend before leaving the stage.
One of the biggest surprises from last night’s show was the number of fresh-off-the block winners, like The Weekend, Dakota Johnson, Taylor Kinney, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor, Priyanka Chopra, Ellen Pompeo, and many more who beat all-time favorites in several of the award categories.
Osbourne and fellow hosts of the show were accepting the award for Favorite Daytime TV Hosting Team when an intruder stormed on stage.

“That guy is not in our club”, Aisha Tyler noted a bit more diplomatically to the shocked crowd as Gilbert got back to her speech.
