Having initially said the game would be available for “holiday 2016”, Microsoft has now revised this to “fall”. That would be a very fitting time spot to release Gears of War 4, but we’ll have to wait and see if it will be ready that soon, with a release date likely coming at E3.
“Some gamers worry that due to the dearth of information surrounding the newest Gears of War and the nearly non-existent hype for the title following its E3 reveal, that the game may slip into 2017 for further polish”, noted Cinema Blend.
According to the title’s lead multiplayer designer Ryan Cleven, the first thing that the studio did was to make sure that developers themselves will be able to play the game as part of its continuing development. The beta test will be giving players a chance to try out the game before anyone else, with those who purchased the “Gears of War Ultimate Edition” getting first dibs.
New Gears soldiers JD and Kait will reportedly go around the ruins of an abandoned city as they hunt for a new monster type called Pouncher.
A bit of good news for fans of “Gears of War” floated recently.
Gears of the War: Ultimate Edition edition launched past year for Xbox One, which includes access to the GOW 4 beta when it begins later this spring.
“Gears of War 4” is now being developed by The Coalition, with Rod Fergusson, the former director of production at Epic Games, joining the team and leading the development for any future games for the franchise.
