Strong earthquake shakes northern Japan; no tsunami warning
An natural disaster with a preliminary magnitude of 6.7 rocked the Hokkaido region of northern Japan at 12:25 JST on Thursday, the weather agency said.

The quake with a depth of 5 kilometer hit the Bayingol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture at 5:18 am (local time), China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) said. However, the agency said there is no concern of the latest quake causing damage, adding that a tsunami warning was not issued.
