Ben Roethlisberger on whether he can play Sunday: ‘I honestly don’t know’
In Cincinnati’s 18-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in an National Football League playoff game on Saturday night, Burfict “was penalized for unnecessary roughness for using his shoulder to make forcible contact to the head and neck area of a defenseless receiver”.

But both players – quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown – have a chance to be ready Sunday for a divisional-round playoff game in Denver.
Roethlisberger was injured in the third quarter of Saturday’s 18-16 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC wild card game. He has a sprained AC joint and some torn ligaments in his throwing arm.
Landry Jones will get the majority of snaps in practice early in the week as Pittsburgh prepares for a rematch with the Broncos, whom the Steelers beat 34-27 on December 20 behind the spectacular play of Brown.
One was on Burfict, who hit Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in the head with his shoulder. He missed the game against the Bengals because of a foot injury, and NFL.com reported that he was to see a foot specialist and that it’s “not looking good” for Williams to play Sunday.
The Denver Broncos are still smarting from their most recent encounter with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tomlin also said, somewhat emphatically, that linebackers coach Joey Porter did not receive a game ball for drawing the personal foul penalty by Bengals cornerback Adam Jones that led to the winning field goal.
If he doesn’t pass the test, if he’s still having headaches or dizziness and still looks bad, then the evaluator will not let him play.
“It’s more of a petition for players’ safety”, Johnson said. “But you know and I know that… he gonna be cleared, I promise you, 24 hours before the game”.
“But you know and I know that when Saturday [Steelers play on Sunday] gets here, all of that is going out the window, man”.
If Brown is unable to play, that’s a critical blow for a high-powered Steelers offense.
Asked about it, he said, “I think I’ll live”.

Per the NFL, Burfict has previously been fined four times during the 2015 season for safety-related violations.
