Representatives for the Tennessee and Florida lotteries couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
But clues as to where they bought the tickets – such as a humble 7-Eleven convenience store in Chino Hills, a suburban area of Los Angeles in San Bernardino county, California – are giving rise to speculation as to who may have received news that will change their lives forever. The identity of the victor is not yet known. Two other winning tickets were sold at locations in Munford, Tenn., and at a Publix grocery store in Melbourne Beach, Fla., lottery officials in those states said.
Three Kentucky Lottery players matched all five white winning numbers to win the game’s second prize of $1 million, lottery officials announced.
The winning numbers in the largest Powerball ever are 8-27-34-4-19-10.

A spokesman for the California Lottery said winning Powerball tickets were sold in three states: California, Florida and Tennessee.
The odds of hitting the jackpot on a single ticket are one in 292.2 million. The winners in Florida and Tennessee have not come forward, lottery officials in those states said, and officials have not said whether anyone in California had sought to claim their share.
In the past week, calls to the Washington-based National Council on Problem Gambling’s help line have soared, largely because of interest in the Powerball jackpot, Executive Director Keith Whyte said.
Kelly Cripe of the Texas Lottery says 85.8 percent of possible number combinations have been selected ahead of the drawing scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Wednesday night’s jackpot is a record-breaking $1.5 billion. Estimated jackpot amounts, which are released daily, have been steadily rising since November 4, when the jackpot was reset at $40 million. No one has matched all six Powerball numbers since then, so the prize kept growing.
