Nbc Bosses Developing Hairspray Live Musical
Asked if Mr. Meyers is also an heir apparent for “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, Mr. Greenblatt said, “Jimmy’s going to be fine for many years to come”.

If the network never had guests who its executives disagreed with publicly, “we would be out of business”, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said.
It’s looking like it will soon be mashed potato time on NBC: The peacock network is planning to tackle “Hairspray” as its next live musical production.
Mr. Greenblatt said Mr. Trump is a newsmaker who is everywhere but that his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” doesn’t mean the network is still in business with him. “The poll numbers are astounding, and he’s everywhere”. He’s late-night television’s most popular personality, despite the well-publicized start of Stephen Colbert on CBS. “I think it’s unrealistic for a decade or so, but check back with me then”. When Tracy lands a starring position on the show, she becomes an overnight celebrity and fights against social injustices of the time – including the need to integrate the program.
And like it or not, people are definitely tuning in – Trump’s stint hosting SNL in November was the show’s highest rated episode in four years!
From the Austrian Alps to Neverland and the yellow brick road of Oz, NBC’s live productions of stage musicals have taken us to some pretty fantastical places.
No word yet on who NBC is eyeing for the cast.

If you just can’t wait until December, we recommend you watch the 2007 Hairspray flick. But one thing we can agree on – Trump is quite the entertaining specimen!
