Miss Washington USA Investigated In Stabbing Of MLS’ Marco Pappa
Former player for the Seattle Sounders football club Marco Pappa suffered a stab wound last month in a freaky incident involving reigning Miss Washington USA Stormy Keffeler, it was revealed Wednesday. Both Pappa, who was still a member of the Seattle Sounders at the time, and Miss Washington, Stormy Keffeler, were present when police arrived. According to King 5 TV in Seattle, police say Keffeler has changed her explanation of the incident several times. “At this moment people want to know, will she remain Miss Washington USA or will there be a new Miss Washington USA”.

Keffeler is a beauty queen and former player in the Legends Football League (former the Lingerie Football League). Pappa was recently traded to the Colorado Rapids. This latest police investigation will not help her keep hold of her crown. According to a story on KVAL-TV’s Web site, she went to college on a softball scholarship and hopes to one day be a sideline reporter for ESPN.
The Guatemalan-born midfielder was taken to an area hospital, where he underwent surgery. A Seattle officer reports Keffeler was drunk and driving on two flat tires when she was pulled over and arrested in April.

Maureen Francisco, co-director of Miss Washington USA Pageant, said she found out about Keffeler’s run-in with the law only in the last few days after getting an anonymous tip via email. A decision about whether she will be able to keep her crown should come soon, according to Francisco.
