Chargers say agreement to join Rams in LA not imminent

Seeing how the owners quickly came together tells you how much that they wanted the benefits of having the second-largest media market in the United States back in the fold.

If the team wants to join the Rams, it would need to negotiate a deal to relocate to Inglewood, either as a tenant or partner with Kroenke. The Los Angeles Rams had won 2 National Football League championships and had one Super Bowl appearance. Here are some of the big ones. The Raiders and Rams both left Los Angeles after the 1994 season. The stadium would be part of an entertainment, retail and residential complex. There’s also a good chance that another team might do the same.

Q. The Inglewood stadium is not expected to be completed until 2019.

Where will the games be?

Kroenke, owner of a sports empire that includes the Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Arsenal soccer team, recently shared his thoughts on leaving St. Louis in a lengthy interview with the Los Angeles Times.

The Coliseum, however, isn’t exactly a brand new venue. The Coliseum is also scheduled to undergo $700 million in renovations.

As mentioned, in a move that has angered Rams fans, Missouri’s governor Jay Nixon is not very happy. UCLA’s Kenny Washington became a Ram and the First African American NFL player.

In a blog post Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Slay made a decision to “do something Stan Kroenke did not” and thank the Rams fans for supporting the franchise for the last two decades. Neither are single-game tickets.

The Raiders lost out on the opportunity to move to Los Angeles this week, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the team will be playing in Oakland next season.

Slay called the NFL’s Tuesday night press conference “pathetic”, noting they didn’t bother to thank St. Louis or its fan base.

“It’s awesome. Don’t have to fly to St. Louis every year”.

It’s unknown if the Rams will be selling personal seat licenses in Los Angeles.

The Chargers have been given a year to work out a deal with the Rams. That would require finding common ground that’s never been found, and the potential of a public vote. Instead, he now has a carrot for an early agreement – as does Chargers owner Dean Spanos, who’ll know that the sooner he signs on to Inglewood, the better a lease he’s likely to get from Kroenke.
