Iran will no longer be called a world threat: Rouhani
With a potentially historic agreement on Iran’s nuclear program in place, President Obama immediately focused his attention on the fight at home.

Obama, on Wednesday, attempted to pre-empt critics by stating that the deal “meets the national security interests of the U.S. and its allies”, and reminded that the sole priority has always been to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
“”We live … under American leadership that would surrender Israel’s security and our own”, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate said on Breitbart News.”We must build up the foundation again; rebuild the wall protecting our – and Israel’s – sovereignty””.
He said the US faces a “fundamental choice” about whether to embrace the opportunity to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue peacefully.
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday the nuclear deal negotiated by the United States, Iran and Western powers “will have my strong support”.
Meanwhile, Mr Al Jubeir said that all countries in the region “want to see a peaceful resolution to Iran’s nuclear programme”, but stopped short of explicitly endorsing Tuesday’s accord, saying that his country was still examining the deal and would need time to get questions answered.
“As president, this type of appeasement of petty dictatorships like Iran, and the theocracy that they run, and the terrorism that they support around the world, will not be tolerated in the Christie administration”, Christie said. There was a time we doubted there could be a deal. “Those are the options”, Obama said.
A No 10 spokesman said: ” The Prime Minister expressed his hope that this deal would mark a fresh start in bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and Iran and in Iran’s role in the region.
Even if Washington had walked away from the nuclear deal, “we’d still be pushing them just as hard to get these folks out”, he added.
The landmark deal, struck Tuesday between Iran and six world powers after marathon negotiations in the Austrian capital, is meant to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability, in exchange for sanctions relief.

Earlier, Vice President Joe Biden headed to Congress for a closed-door meeting to brief the minority Democrats in the House of Representatives about the pact with Tehran. Israel is alarmed about Tehran backing its enemies Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria and has accused Tehran in the past of being behind attacks on Israeli and Jewish targets overseas, allegations Iran has denied.
