Kroenke, owner of a sports empire that includes the Rams, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Arsenal soccer team, recently shared his thoughts on leaving St. Louis in a lengthy interview with the Los Angeles Times. “There will be life without the Rams here in St. Louis, I can assure you that”.
The body blow St. Louis has taken from the NFL’s Rams decision to let the Rams move west has overshadowed a significant boost St. Louis received this past weekend. So either that first season in St. Louis can be played through as normal or it can be simulated so as to reach the 2016 season immediately. Mayor Kevin Faulconer left a message for Spanos on Wednesday, inviting him back to the negotiating table. If it expires, the Oakland Raiders will have a chance to become the second team in the greater Los Angeles area.
“I have been in contact last night and today both with the city’s negotiator, Chris Melvin, and with the City Attorney, Jan Goldsmith, so we won’t have any trouble exchanging information”, Fabiani said. Rams employees spent Wednesday learning about the months of hard work ahead, and Rams spokesman Artis Twyman said the team hasn’t made any logistical decisions yet about the move.
ST. LOUIS (AP) – Rams owner Stan Kroenke and others violated Missouri law by lying about their desire to keep the National Football League team in St. Louis, according to a lawsuit filed by fans that seeks class-action status and unspecified damages. The city has claimed that the Chargers didn’t negotiate in good faith and had several misrepresentations in their relocation bid. The Rams were originally in Los Angeles from 1946-1994.
“We are open for discussions”, said Matthews.
“They already have a fan base out in Oakland, might as well find something out there at Jack London Square”, said 49ers Fan Jonathan Pizano.
LA 2024’s current proposal calls for $500 million in upgrades to the Los Angeles Coliseum, which hosted track and opening and closing ceremonies in 1932 and 1984 and is presently slated to do the same.
“If we’re able to sit down and forge a path forward, we can take a lot of the conjecture out of it – we can take a lot of the hypotheticals out of this”, he said. They will play their games at the Los Angeles Coliseum until a new stadium in Inglewood can be finished.
