The Revenant. So far, Spotlight has been a front-runner for best picture, and while The Revenant probably doesn’t overtake Tom McCarthy’s acclaimed journalism drama, the film’s best drama win stakes its claim as a serious competitor.
“I know a lot of very serious actors and filmmakers who have been having meetings like this forever, and writers for that matter”, he said, declining to name names. It was a major shock, but majorly deserving for his reprisal of Rocky Balboa in “Creed”.
A cut-to-commercial moment at Sunday’s Golden Globes was possibly our favorite of the night – and the Internet agreed. And that nomination was for “Rocky”.
