Jenn Blosil, 23, auditioned for the long-running show’s “farewell season” in Philadelphia.

Starr, known for her hit power ballad “I Still Believe”, went with her 15-year-old daughter Gianna Isabella to the audition for moral support. Lopez called Starr out to the judges table.

“I’m very inspired by my mom”, Gianna said in her introduction.

“I think she’s wonderful”, gushed Starr. She has an interesting story as a traveling “nomad” who has lived everywhere from Hawaii to Iceland, and she’s also someone with possibly the most folksy voice we have ever heard on the show. After performing, Lopez asked if her mom was in the studio and invited her inside.

Gianna advanced to the Hollywood round, much to her and Starr’s happiness. So, as insane as she sounded before she started singing, she sits down and sounds incredible!

Wanna cry? Tune into apparently any episode the final season of American Idol!
