A clerk hands a ticket with five computer quick picks to a customer for Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot at the Mobil Mart in Methuen, Mass., Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016.

He said a portion of his winnings would also go to 7-Eleven since his store is a franchise of the company.

But someone in Munford did win!

“The Chino Hills victor has not come forward yet”, California Lottery said on its Twitter feed.

Jerry Caudle has lived in Munford for nearly 20 years. She would like to see more dollars, lottery and from other sources be funneled into education.

An eye-popping and unprecedented Powerball jackpot whose rise to $1.6 billion became a national fascination will be split three ways.

The Tennessee ticket was sold at Nalifeh’s in Munford, Tenn. As of Thursday morning, one victor had claimed his/her prize.

“I’m on cloud nine!”

Former Tennessee House Speaker Jimmy Naifeh’s nephew and his wife own the store and said they already have plans for the money. “So we don’t do a lot for schools, it’s a modest contribution”, Lopez said.

The Naifehs did not buy lottery tickets themselves, but they’re understandably amazed and happy with the outcome of the drawing.

In Melbourne Beach, neighbors were gossiping that the victor might be someone in a housing development several miles from the Publix where loud partying could be heard after Wednesday night’s drawing, according to Lisa Londini, a professional caregiver who was shopping at the market Thursday.

“Just surprising, I kept looking over and over again”. “A little encouragement; a pat on their backs for always being loyal to us”. Tennessee gives winners 180 days.

The couple, identified only by their first names, Kathryn and Ricardo, claimed their second-tier prize from Wednesday night’s $1.6 billion record-breaking Powerball drawing.

Other winning $1 million Powerball tickets were sold across the country. including, locally, an Amoco station on Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights, Maryland, and a 7-Eleven on Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Maryland, officials said.
