Rock legend David Bowie to be honoured at Brit Awards

The Clarendon say: “Ziggy Stardust, Major Tom, Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke, Tao Jones, Halloween Jack, John Merrick… the one and only David Bowie“.

Along with a photo of Bowie in his dressing room preparing to go on stage, the “Maggie May” singer wrote: “Undeniably the fearless leader of the pack, David was the groundbreaking chameleon who impacted us all”.

According to People, there are no plans for a memorial service for Bowie’s family.

“It was flawless, many through the night told me it was what he would have wanted and I haven’t stopped crying and singing and loving all evening”.

In Britain, the Official Charts Company forecast that Blackstar would lead the weekly list and that 13 of Bowie’s previous albums would re-enter the top 100.

Add Angie Bowie to the list of mourners for rock icon David Bowie, who died Sunday at age 69.

Bowie’s love of laughter was also shown during O’Brien’s tribute.

Talking to fellow house mates about her decision, she said: “I’d prefer to be here but I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t.

Bowie made so many great albums, constantly reinventing himself, that everyone has their own favourites and fans are clearly reminding themselves of his massive contribution to popular music by paying these great, iconic works”.

The Belgian theatre director Ivo van Hove was quoted as saying Bowie died from liver cancer, 18 months after receiving his diagnosis, although this has not been officially confirmed.

‘It comes in waves, you know.

“So, I’m just gonna email you, David Bowie, and if you could check your email in space or in heaven, or wherever you are”.

New York’s Carnegie Hall is to host a memorial concert for Bowie on March 31st.
