Patriots DE Jones had reaction to synthetic marijuana

Ptl. Foscaldo said Jones repeatedly told officers he had “been told” to come to the police station, though a length section after that is redacted. The Boston Herald reported Tuesday evening Jones was rushed to the hospital after he showed up to the Foxboro Police Station for an undisclosed medical emergency.

The Patriots confirmed Jones checked himself into a Boston-area hospital early Sunday morning.

More details have emerged about the weird Sunday morning incident at the Foxborough, Mass., police department, that resulted in the hospitalization of New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones.

According to the report, Jones did not have any drugs on him, and was respectful and cooperative with the police.

The pass rusher did not miss any practice time due to the situation. Jones’ play over the next month will have a real impact on his future with the team, and this new issue certainly doesn’t help matters.

Speaking to the media in the Patriots locker room, Jones said he “made a pretty stupid mistake” Sunday and his focus now is on the team’s upcoming playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, they could now be without a key defensive player in Chandler Jones and for reasons far more concerning than an injury.

Asked if he felt the need to apologize to his teammates, Jones said, “I feel the need to apologize to everyone”.

After being evaluated, Jones was transported to Norwood Hospital. “We’re focusing on Kansas City”. When police went to Jones’ home to retrieve the keys, an officer noticed the smell of burnt marijuana. “We issued a statement on that, and I really don’t have anything to add to it”, Belichick said.

According to police documents, Jones “scurried” through the police parking lot and randomly got down on his knees, interlocking his fingers behind his head. “Might be easier for all of us”.

One day after missing a full-pads practice, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski participated in Wednesday’s workout. This will definitely be something to keep an eye on for the rest of the week, both for the sake of Jones’ health and for any possible action taken by the NFL.
