Trump attacks Cruz over right to run for President
Republican Ted Cruz felt the pressure of challenging Donald Trump in Iowa, which kicks off the presidential race on February 1st, as he came under fire from his rival candidate at the party’s sixth debate.

But no niceties were exchanged before the audience in SC, with Trump even questioning his rival’s constitutional claim to serve as president because he was born in Canada.
Cruz was born to an American mother, making him a US citizen, but Donald Trump has raised questions about where his birthplace makes him ineligible.
“As Cruz is saying anti-New York and trying to bring up a negative stereotype that is offensive, 9/11 is the exact opposite”, Cuomo said on MSNBC.
“I recognize that Donald is dismayed that his poll numbers are falling in Iowa”.
Trump insisted there was “a big question mark” over whether Canadian-born Cruz was even eligible to serve as America’s Commander-in-Chief.
He urged Cruz, who is a lawyer, to ask a court to put the question to rest.
He may be surging in some preference polls, but the Republican candidates remained focused on facing off against Clinton this fall. The problem for Cruz is that other candidates appear to be attracting support that could be his if he were in a one-on-one battle with Trump and those candidates show no indication of dropping out. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio refused to condemn an ad from a super PAC supporting him that portrays New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as similar to President Barack Obama. “And we rebuilt downtown Manhattan, and everyone in the world watched and loved NY and New Yorkers”.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio said ‘someone who lies to the families of those four victims in Benghazi can never be President of the United States’.
On MSNBC he added of Cruz, “I’m sure he won’t take a donation from anyone in NY”. And with that the round and bout went to Mr Trump.
It’s an attack line that’s played well for Cruz on the campaign trail, especially during recent stops in the early-nominating states of Iowa and New Hampshire.
President Barack Obama had on January 12 said the IS was “not an existential threat’ to the USA but the Republican candidates rejected the argument”. American values are E Pluribus Unum: out of many, one! Trump and other opponents said there is legal uncertainty, and Cruz is vulnerable to a lawsuit is he is nominated.
Reminded that he once called Trump and his proposal unhinged, Bush replied: “Yeah, they are unhinged”.

“When the World Trade Center came down I saw something that no place on Earth could have handled more beautifully, more humanely”, Trump said. Rubio had said it seemed as if a strategist had persuaded Bush, not a natural fighter, to harshly attack his fellow Floridian.
