The Rene Angeli’sl cancer battle came to an end when he passed away at their home in Henderson, Las Vegas. Her official site added that “more details will be provided at a later time”. He was 73. Dion and Angélil had been married since 1994. Angelil also had three children from his previous two marriages.
Dion took a leave of absence from her residency in 2014 to take care of her husband and returned in August 2015 after he persuaded her to do so.
She has been a regular performer at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas since 2003.

Angelil was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998.
Dion released a statement on her website announcing the cancellation.

“I want to devote every ounce of my strength and energy to my husband’s healing, and to do so, it’s important for me to dedicate this time to him and to our children”, she said.
