Three smaller winners from Md. and Va. after historic Powerball lottery

In addition to the two $1 million winners, six $100,000 winning tickets and 37 $50,000 winning tickets were sold in Illinois, the Illinois Lottery has said.

Other winning $1 million Powerball tickets were sold across the country. including, locally, an Amoco station on Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights, Maryland, and a 7-Eleven on Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Maryland, officials said.

Million-dollar winning tickets were also sold in Houston and Olmos Park outside San Antonio.

The Powerball jackpot has now been reset to its base level: $40 million. She went to work and told colleagues she was going to “throw out her Powerball ticket since there were no jackpot winners in Maryland”, lottery officials said.

Odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 292 million to 1.

The winning $1 million tickets in Virginia were sold in Salem and Virginia Beach.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday’s drawing were 4-8-19-27-34, with a Powerball number 10.
