Oracle said is keen to draw recruits with a range of experience from across the EMEA region, from motivated sales professionals with two to three years’ experience to experienced senior sales professionals. “Anybody looking to make a real impact with their career in technology should come and join Oracle, The Cloud Company”.
The cloud software giant is now actively headhunting for 1,400 new cloud sales staff to work out of sales HQs in Amsterdam, Cairo, Dubai, Dublin, Malaga and Prague.
To underscore its commitment to growing its cloud sales force, Oracle plans to open sales centres in Amsterdam and Cairo, as well as offices in Dubai, Dublin and Prague. The latest move by the company follows its multi-billion dollar investment in its portfolio of cloud computing services which are both secure and efficient in terms of use. Over the past six months, Oracle said it added almost 1,500 new software as a service (SaaS) customers and more than 2,100 platform as a service (PaaS) customers.
Loic Le Guisquet, president of Oracle, said the overall aim of the recruitment drive is to ensure its customers are supported at every stage of their journey to the cloud.
Following closely on the heels of disclosing plans for construction of a technology campus in Austin, Texas, which will expand its team there by more than 50%, Oracle also announced an additional EMEA recruitment drive to hire 1,400 employees.
The Irish jobs will be based at the company’s state-of-the-art offices in Eastpoint Business Park.
The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland and has been welcomed by Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton and IDA chief executive Martin Shanahan.

Other stated targets will be “people with experience in the lines of business we sell to like finance, marketing and HR”, according to Oracle.
