Original Score: Ennio Morricone, “The Hateful Eight”.

Picking up two Globes should also help the 20th Century Fox-distributed sci-fi hit “The Martian”, which won for motion picture comedy and an acting honor for Matt Damon. It won the prize for Best Dramatic Film.

Screenplay: Aaron Sorkin, “Steve Jobs”.

Best Original Song went to Spectre’s “Writing on the Wall”, performed by Sam Smith and co-written with Jimmy Napes. There is nobody more deserving of that trust than Alejandro Inarritu.

Jennifer Lawrence won best actress in a comedy or musical for her role in “Joy”, while Brie Larson won best actress in a drama for “Room”.

International Design Times previously reported that Leonardo could not stop laughing when Lady Gaga was pronounced as the victor of the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or TV movie.

DiCaprio’s revenge drama “The Revenant” and Damon’s space adventure “The Martian” took the top film awards at Sunday’s Golden Globes. Innaritu’s last film “Birdman” was a favorite in the Oscars, winning four Oscars including “Best Picture” and “Best Director” so this give “The Revenant” a big chance in the Oscars. The movie won Best Drama, Best Director and Best Actor for DiCaprio.

Netflix totalled nine nominations at this year’s show, including two for 2015 debut Narcos, plus one each for Master of None, Bloodline, and Grace and Frankie.

Supporting Actor: Sylvester Stallone, “Creed”.
