At a media conference in front of the 7-Eleven, lottery officials presented a symbolic cheque for $US1 million to the owner of the franchise, Balbir Atwal, for selling a jackpot winning ticket.

Tiffany Robinson is one blessed woman, with her parents planning to pay offer her student loans.
In California, a pro skateboarder is claiming he bought another winning ticket, sold in Chino Hills, Calif. Erik Bragg posted a photo of his winning ticket on Instagram, though some are questioning its authenticity. Those winners have not been announced yet.
John and Lisa Robinson of Munford appeared on NBC’s “Today” show with one of three winning Powerball tickets for the record $1.6 billion jackpot drawn Wednesday night.
“Actually, (I was) a little scared because I didn’t know exactly what do to”, he said.
Lottery officials had not confirmed the prize claim and say they were skeptical after seeing a picture of the ticket. Winners in Tennessee and Florida must claim their winnings within 180 days of Wednesday night’s drawing.
A Pomona, California nurse identified by her employer as the victor of the record-breaking Powerball jackpot did not, in fact, win, her family told ABC News.
“You just can’t sit down, lay down and not do nothing anymore”, said John Robinson, who with his wife will be awarded a $327.8 million lump sum payment.
The Tennessee Lottery has not verified the ticket.
“It was emotional when they talked about what each of them were going to do with the winnings”, Tracy said.
The ticket is worth $528,000,000 since there were two other winning tickets sold.
At 6:56 p.m., he bought four tickets as he always does – one for each member of his family – at Naifeh’s Food Market, located around the corner from their home.
The Robinsons seemed aware of at least some of the risks, even as they flew to NY to tell the world that their future income has suddenly grown to more than half a billion dollars. They say they want to be private people after the lottery frenzy is over.
The winners bought their tickets in the small working class town of Munford, Tennessee; in the quiet Los Angeles suburb of Chino Hills; and at a supermarket in affluent Melbourne Beach, on Florida’s Space Coast.
Wisconsin also had 13 winners of $50,000 each.
Lisa said the entire experience has been exciting but also overwhelming.
