Notre Dame has now won 4 out of the last five versus the Duke Blue Devils, the defending National Champions. Kentucky’s Jamal Murray made a 3-pointer with 13 seconds left and Canty missed two free throws to give Kentucky hope.
“We’ve got to enjoy it for a day and then we have to get back to work”, Brey said. Another mention, for as poor as he shot around the basket, goes to Zach Auguste and his game-high 14 rebounds, none bigger than on Jackson’s missed free throw to close out the game.

A loss to Notre Dame would be their first at home this season and put them on a two-game losing streak (both to unranked conference opponents). He hit two of them in a five-possession span early in the second half…. Duke drained 11 3-pointers versus Clemson – marking the fifth time this season it knocked down at least 10 – but uncharacteristically went only 2-of-7 from the foul line after entering the contest scoring 23.2 percent of its points from the stripe. Auburn’s only win in the last 33 meetings had come in 2000, and students stormed the court to celebrate the upset. We just have to make sure the younger guys know that we can’t just sulk on it. No matter how mad we are about this game, we have a very good Syracuse team on Monday.
