Cruz ‘apologizes’ to people of NY (for bad government)

The feud escalated after Cruz lashed out at NY while taking a shot at Donald Trump.

With just over two weeks until voting begins, Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz firmly asserted their standing atop the GOP race in a fiery debate, overshadowing a crowded field of rivals still…

“If he had any class or possessed true presidential timber, Ted Cruz would offer New Yorkers a real apology instead of sarcasm – not because we need it, but to prove he’s not a hypocrite”.

During the GOP debate, Cruz got into hot water for suggesting Trump had NY values. Cruz said those values – pro-abortion rights, including supporting partial birth abortion and pro-gay marriage – explained Trump’s world view.

Cruz responded Friday with what he termed an apology, that was more of an attack on NY politicians.

“I find myself, for once, in agreement with Donald Trump”, said self-described liberal Democratic New York Mayor Bill de Blasio. “I invite you to come to the National 9-11 Memorial and Museum and see for yourself, and perhaps learn something about, the values of New Yorkers and the Heroes who defended American values on September 11th, 2001”.

“I’m gonna say, and I know people are gonna scratch there heads and go, ‘what?’ but I don’t you can”, Steele said to radio host Rich Zeoli on 1210 WPHT when asked if someone could stop Donald Trump.

Trump and Cruz dominated social media mentions in the debate. “He’s at the bottom of the pack, I’m at the top of the pack”, Trump said.

However, not everyone agreed that Cruz should apologize for insulting them.

“Put down your computer keyboard for a few hours, think before you tweet, and collect yourself”, Levin said in the post.

Cruz’s campaign has said the failure to report the loan was a paperwork error. That’s why I think Trump should go to court now and try to clear this up. The phrase “New York values” has gotten buzz over the last week in a way “flip-flopper” never would have.

Trump declared Saturday morning that Cruz was a “natural-born Canadian”.

Messages requesting comment were left with the governor’s and mayor’s offices regarding Cruz’s latest remarks Friday night.
