Here’s the Interview Where Donald Trump Expresses His “New York Values”

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump took aim at rival Ted Cruz in a series of Saturday morning tweets, taunting Cruz over challenges to his citizenship and reports that he did not disclose campaign loans.

The battle lines are being drawn.

Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said there is no connection between Trump and Schwartz. “We’re not judgmental, negative and hostile the way Cruz was”, Cuomo said. “I told you so”, Trump tweeted, referring to a lawsuit filed by a Houston man challenging the eligibility of Cruz, who was born in Canada to an American mother, to be president. “In one 30-second soundbite, he was offensive to gays, he was offensive to women, he offended 18 million New Yorkers, one of the largest congressional delegations, by the way, in the country, and you can’t govern that way and it’s not who we are”, Cuomo said.

Trump summoned the other image of NY values – September 11.

In recent days, Cruz has faced a backlash from the likes of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for his criticism of the Empire State’s supposed liberal values.

The New Yorker took aim not at Trump, but the media, calling on TV news outlets to hold Trump more accountable for his statements. “We rebuilt downtown Manhattan, and everybody in the world watched and everybody in the world loved NY and loved New Yorkers”.

Trump responded with uncharacteristic calm fair measure.

Perhaps in one of the most inflammatory parts of his “apology”, Cruz said: “I apologize to all the cops and firefighters and 9/11 heroes who had no choice but to stand and turn their backs on Mayor de Blasio because Mayor de Blasio over and over again stands with the looters and criminals rather than the fearless men and women”. Last month’s faceoff, aired on CNN, was seen by 18.2 million. Trump asked his Twitter followers on Saturday if Cruz had any unreported loans from Canadian banks. That’s not to say NY is a bad place to live; it’s definitely not. Cruz said those values – pro-abortion rights, including supporting partial birth abortion and pro-gay marriage – explained Trump’s world view.

Trump hyped up a crowded room at Living History Farms Friday morning in Urbandale during a Town Hall event. That’s why I think Trump should go to court now and try to clear this up. Supporters from across the ideological spectrum flock to hear his stemwinders, including Democrats and some other Iowans unlikely to actually cast ballots when voting begins. “I mean, what’s going on is just nuts”, Trump said in a 1999 “Meet the Press” interview on NBC.

“I didn’t have a process server serve him right on the debate stage in South Carolina”, Schwartz said by phone Friday, adding that he paid the $400 filing fee out of his own pocket.
