Sanders to release letter from his doctor before Iowa caucuses
But she has not touched off the kind of excitement generated by Vermont Sen.

It seemed unimaginable that a Hillary Clinton, who could become the first female USA president, could be overshadowed in a political campaign and yet that’s now the case.
During campaign swings through Iowa and New Hampshire, Bill Clinton treaded fastidiously through tightly controlled campaign events.
While Hillary Clinton is locked in a tight race against Senator Bernie Sanders for Iowa Democrats’ support on caucus night, she’s pulling out her “secret weapon” on the campaign trail.
They have asked her advisers about the strength of the campaign’s data modeling and turnout assumptions in Iowa, given that her 2008 campaign’s predictions were so inaccurate. The Democratic debate may not be as entertaining – or as raucus – as the GOP debates, but with both candidates charged up and in attack mode, it will make for an interesting few hours.
The two candidates, along with former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, will meet Sunday for the last debate before voting begins in the Iowa caucuses a match-up that’s expected to be far more contentious than their previous three forums.
Wins by Sanders in Iowa and New Hampshire could be game changers, proving – as President Barack Obama did by winning Iowa in 2008 against Clinton – that Sanders is electable and shift the tides in SC in his favor, Sanders’ S.C. director Chris Covert says.
“The debate is going to be enormously important given all the undecideds we are seeing in polls”, said Anderson, who supports Clinton.
By contrast, Hillary Clinton has been stressing her electability and questioning the costs of Sanders’ ideas.
‘I’m going to sit because I’m pregnant, ‘ the 32-year-old told the audience, to sighs and applause – before explaining why her mother cares about healthcare, families and women.
Needs: Show why her plans are pragmatic solutions that work for the progressive base, while still respecting Sanders supporters.
Clinton said as president, her mother would create new jobs in construction and renewable energy in rural America.
“There were provisions in that legislation” – like one that banned a particularly deadly brand of bullets – “that made sense to me”, he said. “She’s performed solidly enough, but it’s been a hard race”. In an interview on CNN, Biden said “no one questions Bernie’s authenticity” on his concern for economic justice, defended Sanders’ record on gun control, and said he never saw Clinton as a “prohibitive favorite”.
Since then the Democrats have held weekend affairs only, including the latest during the Christmas shopping rush on a day that, stunningly, coincided with the opening day of the much-awaited new Star Wars movie.
An angry Clinton campaign quickly accused Sanders of breaking his pledge not to air negative ads against her.
“It has to do with what things ought to be done and when they ought to be done, ” Mr. Clyburn said, declining to provide more details.
Clinton has criticized Sanders on the liability vote and frequently notes that he opposed the 1993 Brady bill, which required background checks on gun purchases from federally licensed dealers, highlighting a rare area where the Vermont senator is at odds with liberals.
Sanders, however, beats Clinton among voters who want a candidate who will bring change to current policies, 63% to 26%.
Sanders is at the top of the polls in New Hampshire.
She says as president she will enforce the pact with Iran, adding there have to be consequences if Iran veers away from the worldwide agreement.
